The 2010 Iowa Colony City election will be held on Saturday, May 8.  Terms for City Council Position #1, (currently held by Richard Ledbetter) and  City Council Position #2, (currently held by Ray Banda) will expire this year.

To be eligible to run for election, candidates must have lived in the city for six consecutive months and in the state of Texas for twelve months.  The Mayor and Council positions will be held for two year terms. 

Candidates interested in filing may pick up candidate packets  at the Iowa Colony City Hall, 12003 CR 65, Iowa Colony, Texas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

DEADLINE for candidate to file application for place on ballot is MARCH 8, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
